Water migration and absorption, and mineralization in and around joints, will cause numerous issues. First, the area needs to stay dry for two days. Second, repairs were required involving complete replacement of the caulking at the counter/sink joint and grout at the counter/splash joint; and finally, the removal of the mineralization.
